A hernia is a: Defect in the normal structures of the abdomen or diaphragm, that can cause bulging, pain, or bowel dysfunction. Symptoms depend on where the hernia is including inguinal/groin, umbilical, diaphragmatic, femoral or several of the more rare and difficult to diagnose hernias. See your regular doctor for an exam.
