Agoraphobia: This is form of anxiety that is definitely treatable, individual psychotherapy is usually quite effective. Desensitization methods are often used in addition to uncovering the origin of the fear and slowly helping an individual to perceive more accurately and truthfully assess the reality of this fear. Also try using the anti anxiety app for daily support. My best.

Seek 2nd opinion: Your doctor will refer you or accept your decision to seek another opinion - that's something doctors do. Some of the best treatments for this type of condition are cbt style practices. You learn how to tolerate step-by-step more and more exposure to the things that make you anxious. It works very well, but takes time and effort and courage. Good luck!
