Yes, however...: Eating large amounts of cruciferous vegetables & soy can suppress thyroid function, but it is not clear how much and moderate consumption, esp. If these are cooked, should not have much of an effect. If you eat very large amounts of these then monitor levels of thyroid hormone to see if you need to take more thyroxine. Depends: Lightly cook the cruciferous vegetables at least. Do not eat them raw. Limit soy and choose fermented (miso, tempeh, etc) soy over unfermented soy (soy yogurt, ice cream, tofu, etc).
