Bite?: Could be a spider bite and it should resolve in about 7-10 days (get better day by day). Your description could also be a boil. Is it raised and dies it appear to get larger day by day? Boils are skin abscesses. I would get it checked by your pcp to remove any doubt. Both are easily treated.
