I started taking lexapro (escitalopram) 20 mg 2 weeks ago.it makes me very sleepy.will it make a difference in its effectiveness if i take it at bed time?

No: Lexapro's effectiveness is not related to when one takes the drug and it is often switched to bedtime if there is sleepiness associated with it.

Lexapro (escitalopram): It is normally given once daily around same time, with or without food. Consult your prescribing doctor before switching.

MEDICATION: Best to discuss medication with your Psychiatrist. If uncomfortable with your Dr. consult another for a second opinion. Have a physical exam by a Dr. to determine if you have a physical illness. Consult with a Clinical Psychologist for psychotherapy with ZOOM sessions. Fears and anxiety could be heightened due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Stay safe & hopeful to elevate your immune system.
