Lower dose may help: Some people take several weeks to adjust to new medications especially if they are, as in this case, central nervous system specific.. If side effects are interfering with functionality then, talk to your doctor about either lowering the dose or changing the timing when you take the medication in order to improved tolerance without sacrificing effectiveness of the drug.

Wait or stop: The sleepiness should improve; if you're not taking it at night, you should be. If you're still sleepy after a few more days, you should talk with your doctor about stopping the medication.

Try and then talk: First off, don't give up just yet. Take it at night, three hours before bed. Give it at least two weeks before giving up on it. If it still bothers you at that time, then talk to your doctor about an alternative.
