Could be chiggers..: Chigger bites are caused by mites which burrow themselves underneath skin causing little rashes like those in picture here. They can be intensely itchy especially at night when these creatures are active--they actually move in these burrows in the dark, thus more itching at night. Often one gets this infliction from grass fields. Consult doc for treatment. Good luck.
