Here's a website: http://www.bmicalculator.org/ has explanations and calculators for men an women. Calculations require height, weight, gender and, in kids, age. The result is a %ile that indicates whether your weight is healthy for your height. If >95th%ile, see your doctor to reduce your risk of diabetes, heart disease and other medical complications of obesity.

Weight:height.: The BMI is simply your weight with respect to your height - an overly simplistic and thereby essentially flawed assessment of your health. It's a bit better when used in combination with body fat measurement. That being said, a high BMI might be associated with diabetes and heart disease amongst other health conditions.
