Higher: Arterial thrombosis patients with sle and antiphospholipid antibody syndrome are at higher risk of arterial thrombosis. There is accumulating evidence that patients with established disease are more likely to develop accelerated atherosclerotic vascular disease; it is unclear whether this is disease related or secondary to cortic.

~ 50% Stroke: Lupus patients are more likely to suffer a stroke than people without lupus. In fact, some people with lupus suffer from recurrent strokes, especially if they also have high blood pressure. In some studies 50% of lupus patients developed stroke during 5 years.
