Sort of...: The liver makes bile which flows into the intestine to help digest fats and oils. The bile is green, but mixed in with stuff in the colon, it gives the stool colors from yellows through browns. Yellow stool is what we see in babies. Yellow would be too light a color for children and adults. Stool without much color, or with grayish/chalky color, may mean the bile is blocked. A doctor can evaluate.

Possibly: Yellow stool can be the result of overly rapid transit of stool through the colon, insufficient bile salts or infection. It can be seen in people w gastroesophageal reflux disease as well.
