Liver: If yellow or clay colored stools are caused by liver disorder, urine would be brownish and the whites of the eyes would have a yellowish tint. If there is irritability or inflammation of the gi tract, stools can be tan colored from rapid transit through the intestinal tract. Omit harsh roughage and if abnormal stools persist, see your physician who will order appropriate tests.

I have had symptoms of GERD over last few months, but checked for no obstructions. Twice my liver bloods came back normal- but yellow stools? - scared
On 27 mg concerta and 40 mg nexium (esomeprazole). Had yellow stools this week. Worried about liver damage? Happened b4 starting meds too, but blood work didn't indicate any hepatic or renal issues.
If gallbladder and liver are normal on ultra sound, and I have no other symptoms such as jaundice, but yellow stools sometimes that greasy and float, could it be pancreatic cancer. Scared!!
