Many causes: Dehydration, sleep deprivation, head injury, intoxication, drugs, infection, such as encephalitis or meningitis, fever leading to febrile convulsions, hypoglycaemia, hyponatremia or hypoxia, pregnancy can be a sign of eclampsia, haemorrhagic stroke.
