Reflux?: Many of my patients have this complaint. Acid reflux can come up to your throat and inflame the tissues of the voicebox(larynx) which are sensitive. This causes swelling and the sensation that something is always there. But other things as well, including cancer. If it persists i tell people to get into see an ENT to evaluate.
