By exposure to vitus: Chicken pox is caused by varicella virus.You can get from a person who is infected and coughs, sneezes or share food or drinks or getting in contact with the fluid from the blister rash, it is contagious even before one gets the rash, it ha an incubation period of 10 to 21 days from the time you are exposed to the time you get the disease symptoms like fever and rash etc.
