Sprains: Since sprains are injury to ligaments and ligaments do not have direct arterial blood blow, they do heal rather slowly. Going for pt and immobilizing the foot is appropriate. Expect 6 or more weeks of care.

Healing times vary: The healing rates can vary depending on the individual and on the severity of the injury.

Multiple conditions?: You are asking about 2 separate conditions. In general, a sprain is a soft tissue injury that can take at times 8-12 weeks to calm down, but at a bunion, most likely is in the capsule, which won't resolve unless you address the inefficient mechanics. As for a hallux rigidus (loss of motion at the 1st mp joint), you don't "heal" this typically without surgery. Your question is broad and varied.
