Have a bunion whrre my big toe is pressing against my second toe. the tip of my second toe is numb. could that be the cause?

Yes: Bunions and the deformity associated w/ them( hallux valgus) can press on the second toe and cause deformity ( hammertoes, etc.). Pressure on the second toe digital nerve can certainly cause numbness you are experiencing. See your orthopedic surgeon or podiatrist for evaluation. Best of Luck!
