Psychotherapy helps!: This type of fear is not uncommon, and it can be helped. The reasons you fear you might not wake up are probably unique to you, and need to be understood. The best way to work on this would be with your own psychotherapist -- who could use compassionate exploration, relaxation & breathing exercises, hypnosis, guided imagery, and other methods in working with you to relieve this fear.
