Diagnosed with carotidynia after extreme pain and high crp. what steps do i need to take to see if this is takayasu? fatigue, even after steroids

Carotidynia: Carotidynia is neck, face, ear and head continuous, dull and throbbing pain over the area of the carotid bifurcation and may extend to the mandible, eye, ear and cheek on the same side. It occurs from dilatation of extracranial arteries on that side. It may be due to a virus, but careful progressive elimination of other conditions must be done. Takayasu arteritis is diagnosed by biopsy.
