Sure: Since chocolate contains caffeine. But lower levels than coffe, tea or sodas. It might also be the sugar in the chocolate causing you to be hyper.

Only in LARGE amount: Chocolate has caffeine which can affect the autonomic nervous system. Like excessive amounts of caffeine, it can cause an increased heart rate and jitteriness which a person may experience as anxiety. Remember, the question is; what is a lot? Small amounts of dark chocolate is actually healthy for you.
