Throat burn: Throat burning with certain foods may be due to reflux of acid in the throat. You can have this without the typical reflux symptom of heartburn. Other symptoms of reflux into the throat are hoarseness, phlegm, cough, throat clearing, low grade sore throat, feelings of a lump in the throat... Stress and anxiety can exacerbate symptoms in the throat.

Foods: I believe your symptoms are more related to anxiety rather than intrinsic problem with your esophagus.
