A member asked:

If placental blood clots and a 3mm placental hemmorhage are found- could this be d/t group b strep, or poss develop in l&d from chorioamnionitis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: The blood clots are probably a separate problem and may be a partial abruption or separation of the placenta. If gbs is present but the water is not broken it is not likely to be cause.
