I have amblyopia and exotropia. do glasses help?

Possibly: Sometimes the amblyopia is so dense the vision is so blurry that the brain cannot fuse the two images and the weaker eye wanders out. Sometimes glasses can help as well as surgery.

Depends: On the severity of amblyopia and deviation amount of exotropia. A large sensory exotropia with poor vision would be difficult to correct with glasses alone.
