A member asked:

Is it true that glasses, contacts, and surgery won't help with amblyopia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

For aldults, yes. : If you have amblyopia that is not corrected by around age 7-10, there is no recognized procedure or device that can offer significant visual improvement. However, amblyopia is almost always treatable if discovered in young children (less than 7).
