I am 22 and have exotropia (or a lazy eye)? what can i do to treat it?

The window is closed: More than likely the window is closed for treatment of your lazy eye. If recognized early , reducing use of the good eye sending more images to the brain from the lazy eye can help. When these poor images are sent for a long time the brain blocks out the signal from the lazy eye. At 22 years old it may not be corrected.

Surgery: Surgeries are available which can reduce or eliminate the eye turn. If the vision is affected in the turned eye, the surgery is unlikely to improve that. See an ophthalmologist specializing in adult strabismus surgery.

Depends: Myopia(nearsightedness) may decrease the amount of exotropia. If seeing double the surgery is .Reccommended. It sound as if you have had this for a long time. Most correction would include but would be more for cosmetically staightening the ocular alignment.
