Time: Best way to treat this is to apply a thin layer of vaseline 2-3x/day and let time do the rest. The skin should heal within a few (4-5) days.

Aloe vera: As long as their are no open lesions on the rug burn area, pure aloe vera to the area will help it heal faster.
