No contacts for now: A person who wears contact lenses and has some eye itching, eye irritation, eye infection, or eye allergies, should stop using the contacts for a few days. If the symptoms go away, he can try again with new or cleaned contacts. If the symptoms return, he should see the eye doctor.

Scrubs: Eyelid scrubs with dilute baby shampoo, or with commercial preps like ocusoft can help. But...If he has allergies, or if the contact lenses are becoming a problem, he needs to stop the lenses and see an eye doctor for treatment.
