Could pulmonary hypertension be diagnosed/ruled out through a ct scan?

Pulmonary HTN: The best and most accurate way to diagnose pulmonary is with a right heart catheterization. An echocardiogram can suggest it, but multiple studies have recently been published citing the inaccuracy of echocardiograms in diagnosing pulmonary hypertension. Ct scans can show enlarged pulmonary arteries that could suggest, but in no way diagnose it.

No: You need a right cardiac catheterization to completely rule it in or out. An echocardiogram should be the first step though.

PH Diagnosis: The conclusive diagnostic test for pulmonary hypertension (ph) is a right heart catheterization to measure pulmonary artery pressure and cardiac output. The diagnosis may be supported but not confirmed by physical findings, blood tests, chest x-rays or ct scans, electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, pulmonary function tests, and exercise tolerance tests.
