A member asked:

I have pulmonary hypertension. having sharp pains under my breast bone. my ct reports bibasilar atelectasis. is there a possibility that its related?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chest pains: Pulmonary hypertension is generally not related to chest pain. Bibasilar atelectasis can be an indication of viral pneumonia and can cause sharp pains worsening with deep respiration , indicative of what used to be called "pleurisy". If associated with a fever, see a health care professional.
