How would you know when you have a blood clot in your leg?

Symptoms: Dvt or deep vein thrombosis causes painful swelling in the calf. Sometimes the leg will appear discolored from poor circulation. An ultrasound of the leg is a current standard for making a diagnosis of dvt.
