?: The higher you are the harder you fall. The jump is practice and strength, the landing is how to save your joints. You want to spread the dtress of the landing over as many joints as you can. Absorb the shock with hip flex, knee flex, and toes to heel land. You should have a soft quiet landing. Takes practice.
