Thanks for info: Your girlfriend should see a good internal medicine doctor if she is over 18; if under 18, a pediatrician. There are more causes than I can list for this combination of symptoms, but the most serious COULD be leukemia (blood cancer) or lymphoma (lymph node cancer). There are LOTS of non-cancerous diagnoses that are more likely, though. See a doctor! Good luck!

New?: It's hard to think about cancer in someone so young but the history of petechiae and bruising bothers me. Could be as "simple" as a viral infection but a more serious problem could be going on, even leukemia. I strongly advise she see her doctor ASAP. Best to both.
