Why do i lose my voice every time it get a cold?

Viral infection: Almost all cases of laryngitis are viral infections and there is no specific treatment for this except voice rest and fluids. The fact that this problem always follows a cold again suggests the laryngitis is viral. I can not explain why you always get this condition because it is not that common that every time you get a cold the viral infection descends into the vocal folds.
