It could: Pulmonary edema patients can feel a smothering sensation more than a chest pain. However CP can also occur.

Dyspnea and Edema in legs for 9 months. No smoking, had lung function test with and without bronc. 100% normal. Spitting up phlegm 2-3 times a day, ct with contrast and X-ray shows NO pulmonary edema. No CHF. Echo normal any ideas? I hate this?
