Is it a good idea to take xyzal (levocetirizine) for allergies?

Nonsedating antihist: Allergies is a rather broad and nonspecific term. Antihistamines make provide a useful treatment modality for certain allergies. Xyzal (levocetirizine) is a good nonsedating antihistamine but not the recommended antihistamine based upon your insurance coverage.

Xyzal (levocetirizine) for allergies.: Xyzal (levocetirizine) is a second generation antihistamine, chemically a mirror image of Cetirizine (zyrtec, available otc), is indicated for allergic rhinitis and chronic urticaria (hives). It is a decent medicine, but has similar side effects as that of zyrtec--dry mouth, fatigue, somnolence/sedation, dizziness etc.. So, if you have allergies, u can give it a try. If not helpful, consult doc. Good luck.
