I take xyzal (levocetirizine) 5mg once everyday due to dog allergies but lately it hasn't been helping enough. do i need a higher dose or possibly a new medication?

Dog allergy: It is not uncommon for the effect of anti-histamines such as xyzal (levocetirizine) to reduce a bit if you have taken it for a while. You can switch to another such Claritin or alavert (loratadine) or Allegra (fexofenadine), and see how they do. If you allergy is more than mild you may need to see you doctor for the addition of a prescription medicine, depending on your symptoms.
