Cetirizine (Zyrtec): Zyrtec 10 mg contains 5 mg of xyzal (levocetirizine) and 5 mg of an inactive mirror-image of xyzal (levocetirizine). If xyzal (levocetirizine) doesn't make you gain weight neither will zyrtec.

Zyrtec/cetirizine: Cetirizine (generic form of zyrtec) is about as effective as xyzal (levocetirizine) and more effective than Claritin without weight gain listed as a side-effect on package insert.
