Exercise, good diet.: This "good" cholesterol is increased by activity like exercise, and an active lifestyle. A balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables can also help by increasing fiber in the diet. Mild to moderate alcohol intake raises levels as well.

Niacin LowSugar Thin: For measured hdl-p: niacin, vit b3 (in enough daily doses), for >50 years, most effective at increasing. Next is avoiding sugar & for some, carbohydrate foods in general. (for many, sugar intake will markedly undermine the Niacin benefit) next most effective, loose body fat, especially visceral fat. Least effective, but synergistic, aggressive exercise.
