Anyone can develop : It is particularly unfortunate when children have depression. A family history of depression may mean the child was genetically likely to develop the disorder. Other major factors include their environment. Family life, friendships, academics, etc. Poor self-esteem, negativity and hopelessness, irritability, withdraw are signs of depression in children. It's highly treatable w/ psychotherapy.
