Not much: If weakness is related to a neurologic reduction in masticatory (eating) function, then yes, it may be useful. What is true is that musculo-skeletal types are genetic: a brachycephalic person has a more rounded, short face and very strong jaw muscles. A dolichocephalic person has a more vertical and long face and has rather weak jaw musculature. Mesocephalic is in the middle.

Cause?: Weak jaw muscles are uncommon. There are neurological disorder which cause weak jaw muscles (myasthenia gravis). If you have a neurological disorder, have it treated. Jaw may improve. If you haven't seen a doc, see your MD. I have made the diagnosis of MG with jaw weakness as the initial symptom. Good luck.
