A member asked:

Ive gotten used to pushing my lower jaw forward to compensate for my overbite/weak jaw. it sometimes causes muscle pain and soreness in my face and jaw. could this cause actually harm to my jaw or face besides the occasional soreness?

NO HARM: Your overbite is very common in many people. Pushing your jaw forward can cause muscle strain leading to pain and soreness. You could see an ORTHODONTIST for a consult and when you have pain place a hot compress over the painful areas.
