Wow, too complex: Mentioning whiplash suggests u had an injury? Whiplash is graded based upon the extent of "systemic symptoms". These (dizzy/faint, nausea, headaches, etc) result from unbalance sympathetic nervous system response to the "shock" of the injury. More serious injuries need to be ruled out however.
