Orthostatic Hypotens: Trazadone can cause orthostatic hypotension and sedation. And at higher does antidepressant so if u give it for some one with bipolar diagnoses , may be need moodstabelizer as well.

Depends . . .: Serious side effects (se’s) of trazodone are priapism, allergic reactions, problems breathing, thinking changes & stiff muscles. Sedation results from α1 & 5-ht2 antagonism. Because trazodone is rarely used alone to treat bipolar (BP) (it can induce mania), i'm assuming you are taking other BP meds w/ it. If so, it is hard to discuss other possible se’s w/o knowing the other meds.

Trazodone: Common ones, being dose-dependent, are result of drying effects, such as dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, dry skin, etc.
