A member asked:

What would cause your ear wax to be an amber color accompanied with slight hearing loss?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

? q-tip user: If you are a q-tip user as so many people are, you may have irritated your ear canal skin and caused slight bleeding. This bleeding may have mixed with the normal brown color of your cerumen (wax) and caused an amber color. Q-tip usage is the most common cause of impacted wax and may be the cause of your hearing loss. See ENT doctor.
