I had a non displaced fracture to the lateral side of my talus with my cartiledge still intact on mar 31st. just got back from my first successful run since the injury. ankle felt fine during the run but now it is grinding when i move it. not necessarily

Grinding is not good: As joint cartilage is worn away, the smooth lining covering the rough bone is lost. When the bone is exposed, the joint may not move smoothly. You may feel or even hear a grinding sensation. This means to me you start some arthritis in ankle joint.

Not so successful : Then...You need to follow up with your doctor to find out what that grinding is. Stop all running until you see him.
