Very broad quest: Fatigue can be do to many things. Poor conditioning, obesity, vitamin deficiency, diabetes, anemia, hormone imbalances, sleep apnea, rheumatologic , cardiovascular diseases, pulmonary problems , allergies, etc. Your drs need to give you complete history and phsyical exam and order tests most likely to yield some answers. If nothing found depression may be checked in to as well.

Possible depression: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion or suggestion wityout taking a detailed history, examining you, looking at your labs etc. However what you describe suggests depression. Please consult your doctor as there are effective treatments, if it turns out be depression. Even though you have "no energy" regular aerobic exercise, as tolerated, will do a world of good.

Rule out...: Both physicians have given you good advice. Some people get benefit from ssri's or st. John's wort though they do not have the unwanted bad thoughts of depression. Thyroid iron B12 calcium normal i assume. Sleep apnea or one of the parasomnias like restless legs are life-ruiners. Myasthenia gravis, simmond's, faulty home heater (carbon monoxide) all are concerns.
