Haglund's Deformity: I am not clearly sure what yo mean by bony growth. If its on the back of your heel, it is a bone spur, if it is on the outside of the heel bone, then it could be haglund's which is know as "pump bump". Need to see a podiatrist for evaluation and treatment. X-rays will determine what the problem is.

Go to Podiatrist: You need to be evaluated for the bone growth with evaluation and x-rays. Even though it does not hurt you will have established a time line for future evaluation when or if it starts to hurt.

This would : Depend on what you mean by bony growth. A heel spur by definition is a bony growth. However, it is completely benign and if asymptomatic then it is left alone.

See a Podiatrist: The bone will need an x-ray to determine if it is benign or something more serious.
