Sonds like: A migraine. This is typical for a migraine especially if you take a drug to relieve the pain. As the drug wears off you get a rebound effect. Have you had a migraine before? Migraines have many triggers and if they persist see your md. Gen. They are caused by vessels clamping down or opening up. If the headache on day1 was frm clamping down the headache on day 2 was from opening up of vessels.

Many possibilities: Hard to say without knowing more. Some of the following are important to know: are you otherwise sick (could be just a virus), do you have any chronic illnesses (an exacerbation of any chronic illness could cause a headache), where is the pain in the head, what is the quality of the pain, do you have nausea, does light bother you (maybe it's a migraine) are you stressed? Sleep an issue? Eating?
