Because...: If your stomach is empty and you are hungry, the stomach produces an increase in acid, which cause "hunger pains." if you are bloated, lets just stay that putting too much in a bag will causes "stomach cramps.".

Physiology: Running diverts blood from the stomach and intestines for use by the muscles. If the gut is full, it needs more blood than you are giving it, hence the cramps. If the gut is empty, there may be little blood going there in the first place, hence the aches. These are common problems especially when someone is training for maximum fitness. Good luck.
