Get evaluated by doc: A thorough history/physical exam, and possibly a spirometry test (breathing test), by your doc can help making the diagnosis. If there is a family history of asthma and you are experiencing recurring symptoms of wheezing/shortness of breath/coughing, then likely that you do have asthma. Minimize smoking/exposure, dusty environment. Consult doc. Good luck.

See your doctor: This means you are under inadequate control of your asthma. Your doctor will have to do some fine tuning to get you at your best.
