A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cirrhosis: Stomach pain in cirrhotic patients can be secondary to ascites( fluid in abdomen) or portal gastropathy( increase vascular congestion from liver pressure) or liver tumor that can develop in setting of cirrhosis. Sonogram is recommended every 6 months to exclude tumor. Sono can also exclude ascites. When one has abdominsl pain with ascites infection need to be ruled out. Can be accomplished by tap.
